We are seeking a Dean of Teaching to join our community at Pacific Hills Christian School.

This is a permanent full time position, commencing Term 1, 2025.

Pacific Hills Christian School is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian school with 1500 students, located in Dural, in the Hills District of Sydney.  The School is part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW.  The School emphasises excellence and growth in Christian character with its vision being 'to provide a Christian educational community as a centre of teaching, learning, and serving excellence founded on Biblically based beliefs, values, and behaviour'.  A distinctive of Pacific Hills is our commitment to Christian service.

Desired Skills and Experience

The Dean of Teaching is responsible for the mentoring and induction of new & beginning teachers at Pacific Hills, under the direction of the Group Dean of Curriculum and reporting to the Assistant Principal: Teaching, Learning & Strategic Planning. The position is needs-based and targeting to the teachers of Middle & Senior School. 

This role will include a teaching allocation, in conjunction with the below responsibilities.

Responsibility for

  1. Developing best practice in teaching and learning
  2. Accreditation Leader - Teachers Seeking Accreditation (TSA)
  3. Accreditation Leader - Teachers Maintaining Accreditation (TMA)
  4. Beginning Teacher Mentoring
  5. Mentoring Staff in Teacher Performance Management processes
  6. School Trainee Teacher Program (TTP) Coordinator
  7. Other duties
