We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and skilled Head of Dance to join our community.
This is a permanent full time position, commencing Term 1, 2025 (with the possibility of part time, 0.8 FTE for the right candidate).
Pacific Hills Christian School is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian school with 1500 students, located in Dural, in the Hills District of Sydney. OneMaker Academy is an initiative of Pacific Hills Christian School, launched in 2013 for the performing arts. The direction and coordination of many music and dance programs available to Pacific Hills students is set by OMA. It is seen to complement our students experience of the music, dance and drama curriculum and enhance their journey within the performing arts. The OMA office is located on the lower level of the Performing Arts Centre, where most Music and Dance programs take place. OMA is a forward-thinking academy available to the community as well. People of all ages and levels from the community are able to access all of our services, including Music tuition and Dance classes. With the impressive facilities and team of industry professionals, students from Pacific Hills and the community will be inspired to dream bigger, achieve excellence and be nurtured to use their creative gifts to MAKE DREAMS RISE!

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications/skills required:
Dance degree or appropriate experience
Royal Academy of Dance accreditation is advantageous (but not required)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Dance goals, programs, classes, events, calendar dates and rooming
Train Dance teachers in PHCS Policies & Procedures, teaching methods, Mandatory Training
Responsible for the Class Maestro system relating to Dance
Recruitment of Dance teachers
Documentation for all events
Provide updated information on all aspects of Dance to parents
Liaise with Dance stakeholders
Oversee Dance budget for approval by the Director of OneMaker Academy
Ensure media is regularly updated
Support PHCS activities where possible
