Pacific Hope Christian School is a special school providing Christian Education for students with a mild to moderate level of intellectual delay or Autism in Kindy to Year 12. This co-educational Christian learning community is committed to developing and nurturing its students. Pacific Hope School is located in Tweed Heads on the far north coast of NSW and is part of the Pacific Group of nine Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. Pacific Hope School is located on the same site as Pacific Coast Christian School and has its own Campus Director but shares facilities. Each student is unique, and we aim to develop the full potential in each individual by providing a mixture of individualised and small group instruction and support. Pacific Hope School has a clear vision to honour Christ in all its programs and practices. Desired Skills and Experience
We are seeking applications from interested and enthusiastic education support staff interested in casual work, who desire to assist students with disabilities in their learning.
The Teachers' Aide will support the classroom teacher in implementing programs that meet students' individual goals and quality educational outcomes.
Applicants should possess:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
A passion to support students with special needs.
Experience working with students who have a disability in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
