This is a permanent full time position, commencing end of Term 2, 2025 (a flexible start maybe available for the right candidate). This role will report to the Valley Hope Christian School Campus Director (Principal). Valley Hope Christian School is a special school providing Christian Education for students with a mild to moderate level of intellectual delay or Autism in Year 1 to Year 12. This co-educational Christian learning community is committed to developing and nurturing its students. Valley Hope School is located in Townsend on the far north coast of NSW and is part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. Valley Hope School is located on the same site as Pacific Valley Christian School and has its own Campus Director but shares facilities. Each student is unique, and we aim to develop the full potential in each individual by providing a mixture of individualised and small group instruction and support. Valley Hope School has a clear vision to honour Christ in all its programs and practices. Each staff member is a committed Christian and holds strongly to the belief that we are all created and loved by God.

Qualifications/Skills required:
Strong personal faith and passionate about Christian Education
Qualified teacher with training and/or experience teaching students with a disability
Motivated and capable to teach students from a Biblical perspective
Demonstrated ability to teach and manage students with additional needs
Highly developed communication, administrative & organisational skills
Proactive team management skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of school curriculum policies and procedures
Enthusiastic & passionate about student development
Capacity to implement and develop policy and procedures aligned to the school’s vision
Passionate about mission & service in the local, national & international arena
First Aid training (or willingness to complete)
Approved Working with Children Check
Good physical health
Responsibility for Assisting the Campus Director:
Administration
Individual Student Plans Coordination
Student Learning and Staff and Student Welfare and Development
Leadership and Staff Development in collaboration with the Campus Director
